Khoa is an Analytics Manager for the Crime Lab and Education Lab, where he works across a portfolio of projects in partnership with government agencies and local non-profits. His work includes research projects and advisory services in the areas of violence prevention, juvenile justice, and police training. Khoa also supports the Crime Lab in managing the data team and building out our infrastructure for data analytics work.
Situational Decision-Making (Sit-D)
The Crime Lab and the Chicago Police Department (CPD) partnered to create and evaluate a behavioral science-informed training that helps improve officer decision-making in ambiguous, high-stress situations.
Juvenile Justice Agency Collaboration (JJAC)
The Crime Lab is supporting the Juvenile Justice Agency Collaboration (JJAC), a multi-agency partnership aimed at increasing collaboration within the juvenile justice system and minimizing the negative impact of the juvenile justice system on later life outcomes.
Juvenile Intervention and Support Center (JISC)
The Crime Lab supports the Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) in its efforts to evaluate and improve the Juvenile Intervention and Support Center (JISC), a prototype facility designed to divert children from the justice system and support their development.
