On July 9, 2024, Dr. Chico Tillmon, Executive Director of the Community Violence Intervention Leadership Academy, gave a testimony about the importance of community violence intervention (CVI) at a DNC virtual hearing.
In his testimony, Dr. Tillmon discusses the importance of a holistic community approach to combating gun violence using evidence-based CVI strategies to ensure public safety.
