Erin Kuller is the Program Director for the Policing Leadership Academy (PLA) a branch of the Community Safety Leadership Academies at the University of Chicago Crime Lab. In this role, Erin oversees the day-to-day operations of the PLA, supporting several workstreams including program strategy, curriculum development, research, and participant experience.

Prior to coming to the Crime Lab, Erin served as a senior policy advisor under the Deputy Commissioner, Strategic Initiatives at the New York Police Department and as the Director of External Affairs for the New York City Mayor’s Office of Operations.

Prior to working in the public sector, Erin worked as a journalist for the Las Vegas Sun and was a digital account executive at Leibowitz, a branding and design firm.

Erin holds an MPA from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, and a BS in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications at Northwestern University.
