Daniel Avila is a Project Associate for the Crime Lab and Education Lab. Daniel coordinates the efforts of social policy researchers at the University of Chicago with city and state government agencies, a team of experienced data analysts, and numerous external program providers. His work focuses on increasing access to addiction treatment services and re-engaging at-risk youth with education opportunities.

Prior to joining the Labs, Daniel utilized a background in venture capital to expand early-stage indoor organic agriculture startups. Daniel holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
