Alesisia Cobb-Minnis is the Program Manager for the Community Violence Intervention Leadership Academy for the Crime Lab. Alesisia supports the Executive Director and unit in this capacity by collaborating with various community violence intervention stakeholders to launch and manage a new leadership academy. She will be in charge of all duties related to operation and implementation.

Before coming to the Crime Lab, Alesisia utilized her experience in restorative justice practices, pushing for Illinois to abolish cash bail, all the while working on changing children’s policy with the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services. Alesisia holds a Master of Jurisprudence in Children’s Law and Policy from Loyola University Chicago and a Dual BA in Justice Studies and Inner-City Studies from Northeastern Illinois University.
