Alejandro Roemer is a Senior Research Fellow at the Crime Lab. He assists Pritzker Director Jens Ludwig on his upcoming book and related research projects. His responsabilities include data collection and analysis, qualitative research, and editing.

Before joining the Crime Lab, Alejandro was deputy director of analytics at Grupo Financiero Banorte, Mexico’s second largest bank, where he co-founded the behavioral economics unit. He simultaneously worked as a professor of International Law of Armed Conflict at Universidad Panamericana and ITAM in Mexico City. Alejandro holds a B.A. in International Relations from ITAM and an M.P.P from the University of Chicago, with concentrations on data analysis and global conflict.
