Kailey White is the Portfolio Director of Qualitative Research for the Crime Lab and Education Lab. She studies educational disparities, gun violence, and the criminal justice system using mixed-method approaches. In this role, Kailey works across a portfolio of projects, leveraging qualitative methods to incorporate the voices of those directly affected by programs and policy, and to identify mechanisms of program effectiveness and areas for improvement.

Kailey is a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at the University of Chicago, and she holds an M.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
