Situational Decision-Making: A New Training to Improve Policing

We invite you to join us for a webinar on the findings of our recently released study, A Cognitive View of Policing.

The study evaluated a pilot of the Situational Decision-Making (Sit-D) program, a behavioral science-informed police training program that was shown to make policing fairer and more effective.

The webinar will offer an in-depth review of the study’s findings and explore Sit-D’s potential to reduce adverse policing outcomes while simultaneously increasing community and officer safety. Attendees will hear firsthand from members of the research team and the Chicago Police Department who led the training, and have an opportunity to participate in a Q&A about what Sit-D could mean for cities across the country.

This webinar is free and open to the public and press. It is intended for police academy leaders, community advocates, policymakers, researchers, and others working to improve policing. We invite you to share this invitation with others in your network.

Date: Tuesday, October 3rd

Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM CST

Location: Zoom – details for joining will be emailed to registered attendees.
