Culturally Responsive Violence Intervention for Latino Youth and Families
Serving Latino youth and families in Portland, Oregon, this culturally grounded initiative combines hospital-based violence intervention, intensive case management, and peer mentorship. Bilingual, trauma-informed, and family-centered services are intended to reduce barriers such as language access, immigration-related fear, and distrust of traditional systems. Expected outcomes include reduced retaliatory violence, stronger service engagement, and improved long-term safety, healing, and stability.
