The Repurpose with Purpose initiative transforms the decommissioned Eden Park Elementary School in Baton Rouge’s 70802 ZIP code into a Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Center—a community-rooted space for healing, education, arts, and opportunity. Led by A.G.I.L.E. Planning Solutions, Inc., the project redevelops the campus into multipurpose zones offering youth development, trauma-informed care, and workforce readiness. Integrating proven community violence intervention strategies with creative programming, the center addresses systemic disinvestment and intergenerational trauma. Serving youth, families, and local partners, it offers a public-health approach to public safety and a lasting model for community resilience.
