Legendary Legacies
This project, led by Legendary Legacies in Worcester, MA, is a 12-month pilot designed to professionalize and expand the capacity of frontline violence prevention practitioners. Sixty outreach workers and credible messengers will complete a trauma-informed curriculum integrating restorative justice, motivational interviewing, and behavioral science. Through experiential learning, academic partnerships, and statewide collaboration, the initiative builds a standardized skill set and shared professional identity across the CVI field. The goal is to reduce violence, strengthen coordination, and establish a sustainable leadership pipeline for Massachusetts’s community-based safety ecosystem.
