CVI: The Fight for Sustainability
CVI: The Fight for Sustainability examines the challenges facing Fort Worth’s community violence intervention ecosystem, particularly the Vulnerable Intervention Partnership Fort Worth (VIPFW). Despite demonstrated success in reducing retaliatory violence, recent funding cuts and political shifts have undermined the program’s stability, leading to increased community risk. The project calls for integrating CVI into local government structures while preserving community autonomy—ensuring sustained investment, recognition, and accountability. By strengthening bipartisan support, cross-sector collaboration, and long-term funding strategies, this initiative seeks to protect the progress achieved and secure a sustainable foundation for violence prevention in Fort Worth.
