This project addresses the urgent rise in firearm-related deaths in rural and urban Alabama communities with limited access to trauma care. By implementing Community Lifesaver Training Programs in high-violence counties—Jefferson, Macon, Dallas, and Lowndes—the initiative equips residents with lifesaving skills in Stop the Bleed, Narcan administration, and trauma response. Through training, trauma kit distribution, and coordination with EMS and hospitals, the program aims to reduce pre-hospital mortality, enhance community preparedness, and strengthen trust between residents and emergency systems.
