Violent crime reduction efforts targeted the highest-risk area, identified through data analysis. The project used an all-government approach, combining community engagement, environmental improvements, and enforcement strategies. Police resources were increased, community outreach was prioritized, and environmental changes were made to eliminate opportunities for crime. Ongoing enforcement and long-term environmental upgrades have significantly lowered violent crime in this area. While some crime was displaced, much of it has disappeared entirely because the opportunity for it no longer exists.
