This proposal is to expand and modify the Central Louisiana Violent Crime Abatement Team (VCAT) to reduce violent crime in Central Louisiana in a long term, impactful manner. The proposal is to expand the program to include community stakeholders, NGO’s, and other public services to improve sustainability. The ultimate goal is to reduce violent crime permanently rather than only during periods of heavy enforcement activities.
