Youth Violence Prevention Training Institute
Focused on Minneapolis and Hennepin County, the Youth Violence Prevention Training Institute prepares youth ages 13–24 to serve as credible messengers in violence prevention. Participants complete a paid three-week training program centered on conflict mediation, de-escalation, trauma response, leadership, and workforce readiness. By investing in youth leadership and lived experience, the initiative aims to reduce violent conflicts, expand employment opportunities, and build sustainable community-led prevention infrastructure.
