Homies Unidos Denver
Homies Unidos Denver (HUD) supports BIPOC youth—many of whom are gang-involved or at high risk—by addressing school disengagement, trauma, and community violence through culturally grounded, healing-centered programming. This initiative brings together newcomer Venezuelan youth and established local youth in three 9-month cohorts, each engaging in weekly workshops focused on wellness, cultural exchange, creative expression, and street outreach. Delivered across schools, community spaces, and HUD’s resource-rich office, the program fosters mentorship, leadership, and sustained peer connections to reduce violence and promote long-term resilience.
