Community-Based Public Safety Collective
The Community-Based Public Safety Collective (The Collective) aims to protect and strengthen authentic community-led safety efforts as funding cuts and co-optation threaten the future of community violence intervention and Community-Based Public Safety (CBPS). The project will develop national CBPS standards, pilot an independent certification framework, expand workforce development, and advocate for sustainable funding. By reinforcing grassroots leadership and accountability, the initiative seeks to build a resilient CBPS infrastructure that reduces violence, restores trust, and improves community well-being.
