Unseen Impact: Gun Violence & Black Women in Wilmington
Street Participatory Action Research examines the impact of gun violence on street-identified Black women in Wilmington, Delaware, using participatory action research to center their lived experiences. Through community-based research, trauma-informed workshops, and advocacy efforts, it highlights the gendered effects of structural violence while empowering women as agents of change. By combining research, direct support, and policy engagement, the project fosters resilience, amplifies women’s voices, and advances systemic solutions to break cycles of violence.
