The 6 x 6 Initiative is a 60-day, collaborative effort to revitalize six square blocks in Gary, Indiana, by reducing violent crime and blight through coordinated law enforcement, code enforcement, neighborhood cleanup, workforce development, and community engagement. By bringing together city agencies, community organizations, and residents, the initiative aims to improve public safety, strengthen community trust, expand economic opportunities, and create a sustainable model for neighborhood revitalization.
