My capstone focused on developing a Real-Time Information Center model that improves officer safety, investigative support, and crime analysis through better use of technology, data, and interagency collaboration. Since completing the program, Chicopee has moved from concept to implementation, staffing and launching the RTIC, expanding camera and LPR capabilities, integrating new platforms, and building partnerships with local, county, state, and federal partners. The work has also evolved into a broader regional public safety framework focused on interoperability, responsible technology deployment, and sharing capability across jurisdictions without requiring full centralization. The next phase is continuing to mature the RTIC as both an operational resource for Chicopee and a regional model for collaborative, technology-enabled public safety.
