Artistic Expression, Trauma, and Community Violence Initiative
Based in Pomona, California, this initiative uses artistic expression as a violence prevention and healing strategy for justice-impacted adults and gang-impacted youth. Operated through God’s Pantry, the program creates a trauma-informed creative hub that combines music production, mentorship from credible messengers, guided reflection, and wraparound services. By transforming creative expression from a source of conflict reinforcement into a pathway for healing, identity growth, and personal development, the project aims to reduce violence and strengthen long-term community resilience.
